In 1994 and
again in 1998, the Kent
Chamber of Commerce awarded FMC the title of:
"Small Business of the
Year"
The criteria for winning this award,
included company growth and staying power, service to
the customers and innovation in the face of challenges. Considering
FMC was a
small non-franchised business, that spoke volumes!
As
FMC continued to grow, a number of their satisfied
customers asked them whether or not they would be willing to maintain the exterior
of the buildings, in addition to the interior. Striving to
meet the needs of the customer, FMC sought high-quality personnel
and their commercial Landscaping Division was born.
Since
their inception, with both divisions enjoying steady growth, additional
departments offering a wide range of services have been
developed including Parking Lot Services and Pressure Washing.
Facility
Maintenance Contractors happily celebrated a record year in
2001,
with $3.7 million in sales and a customer retention rate to be
envied. Had Customer Service not been the number one priority,
none of this would have ever been possible!
